I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I'm happy to report that all books from this Kickstarter have been shipped. The paperbacks were put into the mail on Friday (11/24) and I've seen from many of you on social media that they have begun arriving! 

The hardbacks were put into the mail on Monday (11/27) night and should begin arriving by the end of this week.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I just wanted to drop a quick note saying that the shipment of the paperbacks arrived from the printer yesterday. 

I've got them all organized on my table to begin singing them. 

I also received notification that the hardbacks have been printed and are due to arrive to me on Monday (11/27). I will sign and begin to ship out paperback orders as soon as this weekend, and then start with the hardbacks once they arrive next week.

Ebooks Have Been Delivered and Physical Prints Are In The Mail

I have finalized the ebook, included all of your names on the Thank You page (if you included that option), and delivered them earlier today! The delivery is through Backerkit (you would have gotten an email from them telling you your book is ready to download).  I'll paste additional details at the end of this message about how to get your ebook. 

If you have not finished your Backerkit survey please do so, once you finish that survey the ebook will be available to you. The survey is how I get your address to mail the physical items, so without it, I don't know where to send your stuff.  I have pasted in some info at the bottom on what to do if you can't find your Backerkit survey invitation and need a new one. 

I also spent the weekend stuffing envelopes and getting the art prints ready to mail. I dropped those off at the post office earlier this week, so hopefully, shortly they will begin to arrive. Check out a couple of photos below!

The next thing will be printing and delivery of the special edition hardbacks and paperbacks. I expect to send the file to the printers soon and still feel that the week of Nov. 20th is a good target for when I will have received those books from the printing press and packaged them to be mailed out to you all! Thank you all again for your incredible support of my work, it really means the world to me!

How will I get my eBooks?

Once you have received a notification that your eBook is ready (email from Backerkit), follow the instructions. For each eBook you will be given a unique code, you will then paste your unique code into the website https://getmybook.com and you will have instant access to the eBook. This is part of BookFunnel’s ecosystem. You can download the underlying epub file or use the BookFunnel App to read and keep the book in your library. BookFunnel has great customer service so feel free to reach out to them if needed. 

How can I find my Backerkit survey?

You can access your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://the-toy-runners.backerkit.com/

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://the-toy-runners.backerkit.com/

Shipping Starts Next Week for Some Items, Finish Your Backerkit Surveys THIS Weekend!

I can't wait to finalize the files for The Toy Runners next week, distribute the ebooks, and send the gold-foiled paperbacks and hardbacks off to the printers! Thank you to those who have finished their surveys, However, there are still about 20 surveys outstanding, so please, if you have not done your Backerkit survey yet, please do that before the end of this weekend! On Monday, the 23rd I will use the name from your Kickstarter account to finalize the Thank You page listing if you ordered that and have not completed your survey. For those of you with completed surveys (that's where I get your shipping address), I will begin to mail out the NSFW art prints next week. The Toy Runners ebooks will also be delivered next week to those who have finished their survey. The physical Toy Runners volumes are still scheduled to be mailed the week of Nov. 20th. Please see the information below if you need to access your Backerkit survey.

BackerKit surveys are coming!

Soon, you’ll receive an email with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to ship your rewards to the correct address and to finalize the Thank You page and the personalization of your Toy Runners copy (if you ordered those items). I want to finalize the Thank You page listing by Oct. 22nd, so please fill out your survey before then, or I will just use your name as it appears on Kickstarter on the Thank You page in the book (if you purchased that tier). 

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

Not everyone will receive their surveys immediately, a "smoke-test" survey will be sent to a small percentage of backers first to check there aren't any problems with the survey’s design, so if you get it and you find issues, please contact me through the support BackerKit link below!  After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you ordered any Adriana Herrera backlist titles as Add-Ons, you can download them directly from BackerKit once your survey is completed. The digital Toy Runners series will be delivered in the same way in the week of Oct. 23rd once you have all had time to finish your surveys to finalize your name for the Thank You page (if you added that option). You will receive a second email from BackerKit once The Toy Runners eBook is available for download (the week of Oct. 23rd). This delay is to ensure everyone gets a chance to complete the survey and confirm the name they want on the Thank You page (if you selected that option).

The art prints will be mailed in the week of Oct. 23rd. Be watching for updates to the Kickstarter page and/or my Instagram (instagram.com/ladriana_herrera) as I will include photos and updates as things begin to be mailed.

When will physical books be mailed?

Once surveys are completed, I can finalize the paperback and hardback files (week of Oct. 23rd). Then I will send those files to the printers. The printers are relatively quick and based in the USA, so I anticipate the printed books will be back to me probably in the second or third week of November (I’ll take some photos of me signing the books and post them as an update to Kickstarter and/or my Instagram (instagram.com/ladriana_herrera) so you can see the progress). Then I anticipate beginning to mail out the books in the week of Nov. 20th. If you purchased a signed paperback of a backlist title as an Add-On, it will be mailed on or before the week of Nov. 20th as well.
